SCRIPTURE: 2 Sam. 7; 1 Chr. 17; Ps. 2; Matt. 20
Matthew 20: 7 “They said, ‘Because no one hired us.'”
OBSERVATION: These men had no jobs because they hadn’t been engaged to work. They had nothing to do because no one had made a way for them. While there’s something to be said for self-starters and innovators, not everyone is called to do this sort of thing.
APPLICATION: How many are excluded simply because no one is seeking them? Whether that means jobless, homeless, hopeless, churchless, or friendless–we have an obligation to seek out those who have needs.
PRAYER: God, send me past those who are looking for something; and, if you will it, let me provide them with that which they are seeking. Amen.3
