Restoration

SCRIPTURE: Nah. 1-3; John 5

Nahum 2:2
God has restored the Pride of Jacob,
   the Pride of Israel.
Israel’s lived through hard times.
   He’s been to hell and back.

John 5:25-27
“It’s urgent that you get this right: The time has arrived—I mean right now!—when dead men and women will hear the voice of the Son of God and, hearing, will come alive. Just as the Father has life in himself, he has conferred on the Son life in himself. And he has given him the authority, simply because he is the Son of Man, to decide and carry out matters of Judgment.

OBSERVATIONS: God is all about restoration. Trinity has experienced some hard times, carried through by good people, solid leaders, and God’s grace.

APPLICATION: Grace and more grace are coming. Trinity is back on track and heading toward the goals that have been postponed for so long.

PRAYER: God, I’m excited about the things you are doing. Help me to get excited about the things you want me to do! Through Christ, in Christ, and because of Christ I ask it. Amen.
