SCRIPTURE: Dan. 7-8; Ps. 137; Luke 4
Luke 4:33-35
In the meeting place that day there was a man demonically disturbed. He screamed, “Ho! What business do you have here with us, Jesus? Nazarene! I know what you’re up to. You’re the Holy One of God and you’ve come to destroy us!”Jesus shut him up: “Quiet! Get out of him!” The demonic spirit threw the man down in front of them all and left. The demon didn’t hurt him.
OBSERVATIONS: Where are the stories of deliverance? Our efforts may not match those of Jesus, but shouldn’t we have some similar tales to tell?
APPLICATION: What does it mean to actively seek deliverance for those who are in bondage to sin through addiction and oppression? Time to find out.
PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from my blindness to the needs of those who are invisible in our community. Through Christ, the One who truly sees, Amen.
