SCRIPTURE: Dan. 9-10; Ps. 123; Luke 5
Luke 5:4 When he finished teaching, he said to Simon, “Push out into deep water and let your nets out for a catch.”
OBSERVATIONS: After the teaching comes the doing, or the example thereof. You want to catch something? Go deeper. You have to be ready for the catch, so let out your nets.
APPLICATION: Are my nets out? Am I in the right place? Have I finished the lesson and learned it well? If these things are done, then it is time for the deep water.
PRAYER: Lord, let my knowledge suffice. Put me where you would have me to be. And help me to be prepared with my spirit open and willing, and my heart open to receive those you would send. In the name of the Christ I ask it, Amen.
