SCRIPTURE: 1 Chronicles 25-27; 1 Thessalonians 4

Regarding life together and getting along with each other, you don’t need me to tell you what to do. You’re God-taught in these matters. Just love one another! You’re already good at it; your friends all over the province of Macedonia are the evidence. Keep it up; get better and better at it.

1 Thessalonians 4:9-10

OBSERVATIONS: Paul encourages the Thessalonians to exercise their natural gifts for loving each other. This assertion that loving each other is backed up by the phrase “you’re God-taught in these matters.” The trick is being intentional about it, giving myself opportunities to love people.

APPLICATION: Joey, put yourself in position to care, and give yourself a chance to love those around.

PRAYER: God, give me strength to love those around me, even when they are hard to love, and especially when I am hard to love. In the name of the Christ. Amen.
