God, today brought news of rescue and salvation to the world. Where once there were only fears that the treasures of Notre Dame had been destroyed, there is now hope of rebuilding and news of brave men and women who denied the flames their priceless fuel. Let this be a reminder to us, O God, that there is hope for those who are surrounded by destruction in lives lived amidst flames. Remind us that we are to be the brave ones sent into danger to redeem the lost and restore the broken. We pray in the name of the One who redeems us. Amen.
