1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
May God himself, the God who makes everything holy and whole, make you holy and whole, put you together—spirit, soul, and body—and keep you fit for the coming of our Master, Jesus Christ. The One who called you is completely dependable. If he said it, he’ll do it!
OBSERVATION: Salvus. Wholeness. Completion. Together. Shalom.
APPLICATION: God is the only one who can complete me. God is the only one who can make provision for my weakness. Without God, I’m not much of anything, barely able to stand. Thank God, for his power is sufficient.
PRAYER: I’m broken Lord. Heal me. I’m not enough Lord. Sustain me. I’m putting on a front and pretending to be complete. Let your light shine through my flaws so that the healing you are performing even now might be to your glory and not mine. Through Christ, Amen.
