SCRIPTURE: Zech. 4-6; Ps. 87; Luke 12

Zechariah 4:10a
Does anyone dare despise this day of small beginnings?

OBSERVATIONS: God seems to understand the fact that human beings are prone to want a big kickoff and a great send up when something new begins. We shouldn’t despise the slow start, nor the small beginning.

APPLICATION: New commitments are abounding at Trinity, and they MUST BE KEPT SMALL. Incremental, intentional, sustainable growth is key to our success.

PRAYER: Put the brakes on when I go too fast. Help me know that these small beginnings are required for your plan to come to pass. Help us to find your pace and to not despise the small beginning. Amen.
