SCRIPTURE: Ex. 9-11; Luke 24

Luke 24:25-27
Then he said to them, “So thick-headed! So slow-hearted! Why can’t you simply believe all that the prophets said? Don’t you see that these things had to happen, that the Messiah had to suffer and only then enter into his glory?” Then he started at the beginning, with the Books of Moses, and went on through all the Prophets, pointing out everything in the Scriptures that referred to him.

OBSERVATION: Perhaps the Christ-following life is supposed to be hard. You have to suffer so that God can be glorified.

APPLICATION: Joey, stop looking for the easy ways out. The best way forward as a disciple is usually the hardest way. Let God lead. Then you follow. You’re trying to lead because you think you can go around the hard stuff. Knock it off.

PRAYER: After you, God. I’m coming, I’m coming. Let it be so, in Christ’s name. Amen.
