SCRIPTURE: Ex. 1-2; Ps. 88; Luke 21

Exodus 2:24-25
God listened to their groanings. God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob.
God saw what was going on with Israel. God understood.

OBSERVATION: God hears. God remembers. God sees. God understands. That’s what we need most in the midst of Community. The possibility to know and be known within community relies upon these actions.

APPLICATION: Joey, you are thoroughly and completely known by God. When others don’t get you, God always will. When you don’t understand your own irrational behavior, God does. That doesn’t excuse it, but know that God understands in his mercy, and is ready to forgive when you finally come around.

PRAYER: Thank you, Lord, for knowing my heart better than I do. Thank you for calling me to a place of resting and not worrying. I’ll be there as soon as I can make my head stop scheming and my gut quit worrying. Your patience is life to me. I pray for the sake of your Son, Amen.
