SCRIPTURE: Mic. 5-7; Heb. 7

Micah 6:8 But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do,
what God is looking for in men and women.
It’s quite simple: Do what is fair and just to your neighbor,
be compassionate and loyal in your love,
And don’t take yourself too seriously—
   take God seriously.

OBSERVATIONS: Okay, I get it. It isn’t about my ideas. My job is to latch onto God’s ideas and press the case for living by them. So back to scripture. What is God up to in our lives? What is God asking of us in these days? What is Trinity called to be in light of where God is heading?

APPLICATION: I will operate by standards and principles that are God-breathed–Scripture. I will seek to become more like Christ in leading by doing what is fair and just to our neighbors, being compassionate and loyal in love, and not taking myself to seriously–taking God seriously.

PRAYER: Dear God

Thank you for being near me and offering me love and encouragement. May the words that you breathe into my ear be repeated on my lips. In Christ I ask it, Amen.
