Scripture: Col. 1-4

Colossians 3:1-2
So if you’re serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. Don’t shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ—that’s where the action is. See things from his perspective.

Observations: More and more, I’m seeing that Paul’s basic message is to be more like Christ. Instead of focusing on our own thoughts and our own desires, we should be seeking the action that surrounds the Christ.

Application: In many places in my life, the focus is on what isn’t working. So many ministries are foundering across the country. I keep diving into those things that are having trouble, hoping to save something or rescue an idea. Maybe its time that I look at things from Christ’s perspective. Maybe its time to cut some of the liabilities and look to something new.

Prayer: God, if this is your idea, I’d love some assurance on this one. Let me truly see where Christ is working the hardest, and then, let me be fully present to it. For Christ’s sake, and for the Kingdom, amen.
