SCRIPTURE: Nahum 1-3; John 5
John 5:14
A little later Jesus found him in the Temple and said, “You look wonderful! You’re well! Don’t return to a sinning life or something worse might happen.“
OBSERVATIONS: Jesus recognized that sin is the source of most of our problems. More to the point, the only thing worse than sinning is returning to sin after breaking free with Christ’s help.
APPLICATION: Joey, when the temptations arise, you have choices to make. Make the right ones. Find better things to do and loftier goals to fill your time.
PRAYER: God, I’m free because of your grace. Help me to discover ways to move forward and not backward. In Christ’s name I pray, Amen.
