SCRIPTURE: Is. 22-24; Heb. 12

Hebrews 12:12-13 So don’t sit around on your hands! No more dragging your feet! Clear the path for long-distance runners so no one will trip and fall, so no one will step in a hole and sprain an ankle. Help each other out. And run for it!

OBSERVATIONS: This isn’t just about raw speed. It is about careful speed. It is about taking the time to examine the course for obstacles. It is about clearing those obstacles, and making the course safer. Can the runner still trip? Sure. Can the muscles still pull and tear? Yes.

But, in the end, our work together is about running the course.

APPLICATION: I will look for ways to clear the way for new ministry. I will look for ways to provide relief and strength for those who are running in existing ministry. And I will put on my running shoes and GO.

PRAYER: God, I humbly ask you to show me the course. Please help me to see obstacles. Make my feet fly, but only for your glory. Because of Christ and in His name I ask it, Amen.
