God, today marks the celebration of the defeat of Death. Resurrection shows us that life ends, but begins anew. Death is not eliminated; you have reduced it to a temporary state. Strengthen us to burst forth from our tombs in this life as we will most certainly rise in the life that is to come. We praise you and thank you for Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.
