SCRIPTURE: 1 Samuel 17; Psalm 9; Matthew 2
God holds the high center,
Psalm 9:7-8
he sees and sets the world’s mess right.
He decides what is right for us,
gives people their just deserts.
OBSERVATIONS: The Psalmist is stating his belief. The question is, is he trying to convince himself? From the rest of the Psalm, it would seem he’s been through the wringer.
APPLICATION: Joey, it’s okay to wonder and doubt. It’s not okay to falter and quit. Keep believing, and keep moving forward with he work of the Kingdom. The Church doesn’t stop because of a rough patch. Carry on.
PRAYER: God, teach me the lessons of David and the practice of preaching faith until I have it. Let the coming days prove to be an opportunity to glorify your strength with success despite my weakness. In the name of the Christ I pray. Amen.
